For maximum rigidity and durability, the 2022 Ram 1500 features an advanced, light-weight ladder-type frame composed of state-of-the-art high-strength steel. The advanced coil over shock front suspension is light and strong, while the five-link, progressive-rate coil rear suspension is lighter than leaf springs for better control and performance under heavy loads and while towing.
The 2022 Ram 1500 offers the unique 60/40 split tailgate that opens like a barn door when you need to get close to the bed, but also opens like a traditional tailgate when that suits you better. For even greater convenience, the available centre-mounted bed step makes reaching into the bed so much easier.

Available on the Big Horn model, the 2022 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition is inspired by first responders, and the first installment pays tribute to the firefighter community. This package boasts your choice of Redline or Diamond Black exterior paint with black bumpers, black badges and 20‑inch wheels with unique technical grey finish. Inside, it features a black interior with performance cloth and premium vinyl seats with orange accent stitching. Limited quantities available.
Grand Touring Crew Cab
The GT appearance package, available on Sport, Rebel and Laramie models, features an array of interior, exterior and functional enhancements. Included is the 5.7L V8 with eTorque, cold air intake, performance factory exhaust, bucket seats with GT logo and paddle shifters.
Back Country
The name says it all. Designed with the features and functionality of an off-road explorer, the Back Country package - available on Big Horn models - includes bucket seats, black 18-inch wheels with off-road tires, the Off-Road Group, the Bed Utility Group, Black Tu-Tone paint and black running boards and exterior trim.
